Scanlog has launched a new strategy for the company for the coming years that will take the company from being a logistics company working with sustainability to a sustainable company working with logistics.
In 2023, Scanlog developed a sustainability strategy for the first time. During the fall, the management team decided to merge the new sustainability strategy with the existing business plan and instead run the company based on one strategy.
– As head of sustainability, it is a dream come true that the sustainability strategy is integrated into the business strategy to the extent that we merge them into a governing document. It shows that management, board and owners really believe that this is the way forward for Scanlog. I pinch my arm a bit, says Matilda Jarbin, Chief Sustainability & Communications Officer.
Scanlogs strategy is divided into three areas: A sustainable business, Our climate promise and A loving company These areas represent the company’s work with economic, environmental, and social sustainability. Each area has clear, challenging goals and concrete action plans linked to it. The action plans are broken down into tangible activities that run on an annual basis.
– The strategy prioritizes our sustainability work and creates a structure for how we will become a truly sustainable company. The activities during the year include setting climate targets according to Science based targets, internal pricing of carbon dioxide and the creation of completely new transportation solutions that have a reduced climate impact. All future business development has fossil-free solutions as its highest priority, says Mattias Ljungberg, CEO.
The strategy is a milestone in Scanlogs corporate history. It was approved by Scanlogs board in September 2023, and the management team is responsible for adhering to the strategy and implementing the activities.
