Through Scanlog\u2019s fossil-free sea freight services, Sproud\u2019s greenhouse gas emissions from sea freight will be reduced by 100 %. <\/p>\n<p>The collaboration is based on an inset model, where vessels are powered by LBG (liquid biogas) according to the mass balance principle. This means that an equivalent amount of renewable fuel is introduced into the system, enabling the climate impact of the transport to be reduced to net zero. <\/p>\n<p>Sproud develops and sells plant-based alternatives to dairy products based on pea protein, with sustainability as a core part of its strategy. In 2023, Sproud became the first food company to be verified according to ISO 26000, an international standard for sustainable and socially responsible business practices. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>&#8211; We aim to collaborate with customers who share our commitment to sustainability, as it makes it easier to deliver on our ambitions. In our partnership with Sproud, it was therefore natural to offer fossil-free transport from the outset as an integrated part of the solution, rather than offering it as an optional add-on at the end. It is particularly valuable to work with partners where we can jointly contribute to real climate benefits   <\/em>, says Merita Bajrami, Sales Executive at Scanlog.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sproud is headquartered in Malm\u00f6, with additional commercial offices in London and Warsaw, and exports to 30 countries. Scanlog will transport Sproud\u2019s products between their production sites and warehouses across Europe. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>&#8211; We are pleased to partner with Scanlog and their fossil-free sea freight solutions.
