Scanlog appoints new Head of Sustainability & Communications

Scanlog – Scandinavian Logistics Partners has appointed Ms. Matilda Jarbin as Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer, the first such position in the company. Ms. Jarbin has several years of experience as Sustainability Manager and as a lecturer and consultant in sustainability and circular economy.

• Our goal is to be climate neutral in the entire value chain by 2030, and we have strengthened the executive team with a resource that will now lead this work. It feels great that we have found Matilda who has deep knowledge and experience of sustainability and how it can strengthen our business, in combination with her communication skills, Scanlog’s CEO Mattias Ljungberg comments.

Responsible Logistics

Since its foundation, Scanlog has worked with the concept of Responsible Logistics with a significant focus on reducing the negative environmental and climate impact from freight transports. Now the company is taking the next step and investing in further strengthening its internal expertise.

• For me it is crucial that companies work with sustainability in practice, that sustainability is integrated in the business offering, and that there is a real commitment from owners and management. And this is the case at Scanlog, says Matilda Jarbin.

A fast-growing logistics company

Scanlog is growing and is approaching 50 employees – and with this comes increased demands on great communication. Matilda Jarbin will be responsible for all communication, both internally and externally. Scanlog are pioneers in many cases and wants to share more information about what the company is doing.

Scanlog’s aim is to be a loved, sustainable billion-kronor company, and when I heard that, they really got me, says Matilda Jarbin.

• In my role, my motivation is to see to that the company’s sustainability work contributes to reaching our growth targets, and that it impacts the industry from a larger perspective. Sustainability is an integral part of our customer offering. I see great potential for Scanlog to become an essential and significant part of our clients’ sustainability work, says Matilda Jarbin.
