Scanlog visiting SOS Children Village in Poland.

Last week our Chairman of the board Mathias Wideroth were visiting SOS Barnbyar children’s village and family strengthening programs in Poland. Together with the representatives from Apotea, Advokatfirman Kane and Svenska LantChips AB, he visited 12 Ukranian families, an intervention centre and a Specialist Center where SOS Barnbyar offer mental health support for Polish and Ukrainian children. Only three days after the invasion of Ukraine, the children came to Poland. Today, it is 24 kids and 9 foster parents living in this village, financed by fund raising from private corporates (80 %) and state and local authorities (20 %).

“We got to see how Ukrainian children and families who have fled the war are being supported through a range of initiatives and got the opportunity to see how our support is being used in a concrete way. I’m so impressed of the incredible work SOS Barnbyar are doing”, says Mathias Wideroth.
